Every Root practice starts with two flows where you have the freedom to do your own thing, keep flowing or stop and rest. The largest portion of the class is fully guided.

Don't let the word "Basics" deter you. Digging deep into Warrior 1 and Warrior 2 is always a challenge, no matter how long you've been practicing. For those new to yoga, you'll learn the details of some of the core pose that you'll see in classes wherever you go. For seasoned practitioners, you might discover some tweaks to these structural poses you may have missed or forgotten. Enjoy!

"Everything's going to be okay." Except for your quads after this class! Just kidding. (Not really.) This centering practice focuses on building equanimity--mental calmness and composure, especially in difficult situations. Lord knows we need some of that right now! This class has a flowing sun A & B and a ground standing sequence. It wraps up with some hip and low back strengtheners and several minutes of relaxing yin to even it all out.

A steady and challenging class that helps you slow down and focus. Gentle flows in the beginning and some challenging standing poses to ground you and connect you to the present moment. Might be slightly hard to follow at a couple points but if you've done these classes before, it's no problem.

Starting out with hip openers, this class is great if you've been traveling or just have tight hips. We also focus on balancing postures to strengthen your legs and ankle and knee joints as well as focus the mind.

A challenging but fun class featuring my favorite grumpy student and pistol pose.  For those of you unfamiliar with the pose here is photo of it. Since I'm currently pregnant I'm not able to do this one very well, here is a random photo I found on google. 

This class starts quickly! So get on your mat before you press play! With every Root class, you'll warm up in the beginning, I'll construct two flows for you to move to in your own time and breath (you'll hear me stop talking but I come back!) and then I talk you through the rest of the class. During the two flows in the beginning, you have the freedom to keep flowing, stop and rest or embrace your own creativity. Enjoy! 

Root - The One With The Gratitude MeditationLauren Vogel

This Root class opens with a gratitude meditation and just like all my Root class has two flows in the beginning where you will have a couple minutes to move with your own breath. In that space you can keep flowing, stop and rest or embrace your own creativity. (The is the one where I grab my friend Meredith's butt while adjusting her. Don't worry if you ever come to a class of mine, I won't grab your butt!)
